FAQ

Please contact me at any time for custom order requests! More of my work and process shots can be seen at my Instagram page.

I can create paintings of any kind of pixel art, be it from a game or otherwise.

Q: How is shipping handled?

A: All shipping will be done via US Postal Service.

Each painting is carefully wrapped to ensure the item does not get damaged in transit. Larger pieces may be reinforced with cardboard.

Paintings will be shipped from Austin, TX. I am currently offering shipments to USA only.

  • Existing pieces: Within a week of the time the order was placed.
  • Commissions: Within 2 weeks of being completed.

I will contact you if there are any expected delays.

Q: What kind of paint do you use?

A: I paint entirely with acrylic paint. I use high quality, heavy body mediums. I often extend the life of the paint with Retarder, and GAC 100 and sometimes thin with water.

Q: How much does a commission of ____ cost?

A: There's no easy answer. As a general rule: time = money. More colors/smaller pixels = more complexity = more time. I will work with you on estimating overall cost.
For all pieces the price is based entirely on the work and resources involved.

Q: I don't have a lot of money, but I really want a painting. Do you offer payment plans?

A: For pieces $300 and up, I do offer 50-50 payment plans. This means you can give me half the cost when placing the order, and half the cost when the order is completed. Please be aware I don't offer refunds under any circumstances, and this includes 50% downpayments.

Q: Does it have to be video game related?

A: No. If you want a pixel art painting of anything, be it a TV show or movie, your favorite food or hobby, an object you like, or even a portrait, I will gladly work with you to help create anything you desire.

Q: What is varnish and why do you do it?

A: Varnish is a 100% clear coat layer painted over the piece after it has been completed. Varnish helps protect the piece from the two most art-destroying elements in the world: UV rays and dust. It also protects the paint from any potential moisture or room humidity. I have used both glossy and matte finish varnish depending on the piece. For commissions, it is your choice.

Q: Okay, I'm interested. How long will it take to make?

A: Depending on the complexity, small pieces will take an average of 1-3 weeks (12" or smaller). I will provide you an estimate for larger ones. It will then take ~1 weeks to get the painting shipped to you.

All sales are final.
